ArtsX UMMA presents: UNDEFINED

This program is free and open to the public. Seating is first come, first served.
The UMMA Student Engagement Council, in partnership with Arts at Michigan, the Michigan Community Scholars Program, and the School of Music, Theatre & Dance, is seeking performers of all types for an evening of performance aimed at bringing a diverse community together around the arts.

In today's fractured environment where our identities are too often framed in ways that divide us, ArtsX UMMA: UNDEFINED will provide a platform for self-representation and expression that rejects divisive categorization, emphasizing the fluidity of the human experience, and views our differences and similarities as cause for celebration.

Please submit a short, written proposal describing your performance. We ask that performances not exceed 10 minutes. All performance types welcome.

Deadline to Submit: January 4, 2018

"I’m a lychee peel in peril
Plates tipping off the table
By catnipped paw.
I’m those ecstatic missing thumbs.
I’m ghosting the trains until home.
I’m a wash-and- wear sunburnt mess of curls.
I’m 7 Train Love Local,
No names Express."

Collective, 2013)
