The Ark at UMMA
The Ark at UMMA invites student songwriters from University of Michigan, Eastern Michigan University, Washtenaw Community College, and Concordia University to submit their original music demos in order to compete for a live performance showcase at UMMA and a chance to perform at The Ark. This student songwriter series is designed to create opportunities for students in the UM community to have their music heard, learn about promoting their music, and experience important aspects of the music business firsthand.
The Ark at UMMA Student Songwriter Series presents three performance showcases featuring the best of the student songwriters selected by The Ark staff from the contest submissions.
A final performance includes all the showcase participants performing in-the-round and culminates in the announcement of the winner of the series. The winning singer-songwriter will be booked for an opening performance at The Ark.
