Description

Subject Matter:

This photograph depicts an iceberg in Disko Bay, Greenland. Davis has worked with the subject since 1986, reproducing the photographs as large, toned prints. Davis's earlier work focused on the nude figure, form, texture, and composition, which extends into her work with icebergs in Greenland.

Physical Description:

This photograph depicts an iceberg in a bay. The iceberg fills most of the frame and subtely emerges from the background.
