Curriculum / Collection (C/C) is an exhibition of art used in a cross-section of university courses. This project features works of art selected by university faculty for their capacity to connect to key questions and ideas within a specific course. C/C is an opportunity to collaborate in new ways with UMMA to integrate works of art into your course and to give your students extended access to those works of art in the museum's public galleries throughout the academic year.

We will select faculty who make a compelling case for a set of works from UMMA's collection that their students will use in depth. UMMA's Andrew W. Mellon Curator for University Learning and Programs, David Choberka will help you choose objects in the collection and even brainstorm about student assignments and projects. Faculty in turn need to make deep use of the works of art for their class--the more inventive, the better.

We're especially open to proposals from faculty and disciplines who have not previously made use of the museum in their courses.

C/C will install the works of art you choose for your class on the gallery walls along with information about your course and student assignments. C/C in this way becomes both a public classroom and a means for the public, students, and faculty to engage with the collection and its deep capacity for learning and thinking.

All university faculty are encouraged to submit proposals.
