Witness Lab Simulation: Romeo vs. the City of Verona with Katie McBride's Greenhills Middle School Class

In her investigation our legal system, McClellan’s practice engages K-12 and university classes across a spectrum of disciplines including law, drama, anthropology, and more. Visit our website for an ever-evolving list of opportunities to see the Witness Lab project in action.

Greenhills Middle School students will speculate about a trial that never happened. Riffing on Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, students will put Romeo on trial. You decide: Is Romeo responsible for Tybalt’s death?

Witness Lab is presented in partnership with the Roman J. Witt Artist in Residence Program of the Penny W. Stamps School of Art & Design, with lead support provided by the University of Michigan Law School and Office of the Provost.
