The Mark Webster Reading Series presents emerging writers in a warm and relaxed setting. MFA second-year students in fiction and poetry, each introduced by a peer, will share a sample of their work. Friends, family, and members of the Ann Arbor community are welcome to attend the readings both in-person and synchronously on Zoom. 


This week's reading features Matthew Del Busto (poetry), David Joez Villaverde (poetry & fiction).


Matt Del Busto is a poet from Carmel, Indiana. After graduating from Butler University, he spent six months teaching English at the Universidad de Málaga in southern Spain before moving to Ann Arbor.


David Joez Villaverde is the winner of the Journal of Narrative Theory's 2020 flash nonfiction contest & the runner-up for the 2020 Ryan R. Gibbs Award for Flash Fiction. His work has appeared in The Rumpus, The Jellyfish Review, New Delta Review, Wigleaf, Cosmonauts Avenue, and The Fanzine, among others.
