The Mark Webster Reading Series: Mark Bryk (Fiction), Martha Paz-Soldan (Poetry)

The Mark Webster Reading Series presents emerging writers in a warm and relaxed setting. MFA second-year students in fiction and poetry, each introduced by a peer, will share a sample of their work. Friends, family, and members of the Ann Arbor community are welcome to attend the readings both in-person and synchronously on Zoom.

Originally from one of the longest islands abutting New York City, Mark Bryk has studied Talmud in Israel, electrical engineering at the Cooper Union, and taught English in Vietnam before wending his way to Ann Arbor. He has never lost a limbo competition and his fiction is possibly forthcoming in many literary magazines.

Martha Paz-Soldan is a Peruvian-American poet from Florida. She is the recipient of a 2023 University of Michigan Hopwood Graduate Award in Poetry.
