Webster MFA Reading Series: Kameryn Alexa Carter and Zach Anderson

Organized by the Helen Zell Writers’ Program and presented in partnership with UMMA, the Mark Webster Reading Series showcases the work of second-year MFA students in fiction and poetry.

Kameryn Alexa Carter is a Black poet. Her work has appeared in Bennington Review, Phoebe Journal, Torch Literary Arts, The Best American Poetry, Portable Gray, and elsewhere. She is the author of Erykah Badu’s New Amerykah Part Two: Return of the Ankh and Antediluvian.

Zach Anderson is a CHamoru/Pinoy educator and writer from Sacramento with roots in the villages of Sumay and Hagat and the province of Pangasinan. He has a BA in Writing & Literature from California College of the Arts and an MA in Asian American Studies from UCLA.

Friends, family, and members of the Ann Arbor community are welcome to attend the readings both in-person at UMMA or live on Zoom. This series is free and open to the public.
