FAQs

Do I need a ticket?

No, tickets are not necessary. Admission is always free for everyone.

Is admission always free?

Yes, admission to UMMA is always free.

Is photography allowed inside the museum?

Yes, photography of your experience is allowed and encouraged! To protect the artwork, we don’t allow flash photography or tripods in the galleries.

If you would like to arrange special event photography (engagement, wedding, graduation, etc.) please reach out to the Marketing Department.

Is free parking available?

Free street parking is available on streets surrounding UMMA after 6pm Monday–Saturday and all day Sunday.

How often are special exhibitions showcased at UMMA?

Frequently! UMMA’s special exhibitions usually rotate in the Fall (Late August/September) and Spring (March/April), so there’s always something new to discover.

How long will it take to see everything?

Everyone’s experience will be different — be prepared to find something surprising that makes you want to stay longer than expected!

What are your Holiday hours?

2025 Holiday Season Schedule:

UMMA is closed on these holidays:

- Thanksgiving day

Unless otherwise stated, the Museum will be open our regularly scheduled hours on all other holidays.
