Subject Matter:

Torii Kiyonaga was famous for his depictions of beautiful famous women. Not an uncommon subject, Torii Kiyonaga created many similar style prints during his career. 

Physical Description:

This long print depicts a woman holding a parasol. The woman looks to the right and stands beneath a tree. Her clothes appear formal and are decorated in a floral motif. There appears to be a flowing river in the background. On the right edge in the middle is a vertical inscription, the artist's signature.
