Description

Subject Matter:

Photograph of Absalom's Tomb, a rock-cut building with a conical roof in the Kidron Valley in Jerusalem. The oblique angle of the photograph, which hides the lower half of the building behind a rocky hill, emphasizes that the structure is carved into the slope of the Mount of Olives where the scene is located.

Physical Description:

Conical-shaped building situated between two hills in a rocky, mostly barren landscape.
