Description

Subject Matter:

The two figures, according to the title, are hauling a boat suggesting they are fishermen. The quickness of the brushstrokes for the rope suggests their tautness.  

Physical Description:

This is a sketch of two people pulling a string. The two figures are wearing hats, black shirts, and white pants. Tied to their bodies is are strings that suggest that they are pulling something. In the bottom left is a part of a bamboo tree and on the top right is an inscription. The inscription is written in black and red ink. The painting uses colors of black, green, brown/tan, and a hint of blue.
