Description

Subject Matter:

"The "four gentlemen" subjects of bamboo, orchid, plum, and chrysanthemum, subjects favoured by Chinese literati as a fitting exercise in ink-play that was very close to calligraphy. "

Physical Description:

Bamboo leaves come from the upper left corner of the hanging scroll. On the right side, there is some calligraphy. There is a signature and a seal in the bottom middle section of the painting. There is a gold border, then a green border.
