Description

Subject Matter:

This is a yue ware celadon bowl of the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127). It was produced in northern Zhejiang province, where yue kilns were employed since the Eastern Zhou Dynasty (11th century-221 BCE).

Physical Description:

This is a conical bowl that rests on a footring, with a slightly everted rim, covered in a gray-green celadon glaze.
