Description
Subject Matter:

The door is cracked open, revealing a blurry strip of outdoor scenery. The young boy stands right of center, aligning with the crack in the door. He is placed in the lower half of the image, creating a sense of spatial depth from the darkness of the door, which consumes the majority of the image. The young boy is the focal point of the image. The boy holds an issue of Camera Work in his left arm, clutching it toward his chest. He looks out of frame with a solemn expression.
