Description

Subject Matter:

This image depicts the Bridge of St. Martin in Toledo, Spain. The bridge features large towers, arches, and is one of only a handful of similar remaining structures of its kind. In the foreground, horse-drawn wagons appear parked, while men work around them. In the background, a large construction project is visible. The horses and men in the foreground appear miniscule compared to the medeival architecture behind them.
