Description

Subject Matter:

The painter is Godod Sutejo who paints primarily simplistically and is known for his watercolors. This is an instance of his calligraphy with ink. This black ink calligraphy painting departs from his typical work with colors and human figures.

Physical Description:

Painted in black ink and using a lot of negative space, the painting is split into three main sections. At the bottom is what appears to be water, the second seems to be a cloud, and the uppermost section is a series of clouds. Through the middle of the scene is a line of calligraphy.
