Description

Subject Matter:

Wang Chong's Calligraphy of Artist's Own Poetry is a hand scroll of seven poems he dedicated to Mr. Baishi (Shen Zhou). The scroll consists of descriptions of nature as a reflection of his desire to live a secluded and tranquil life, despite his failing health and unsuccessful attempts at becoming a public official.

Calligraphies and drawings with one of the drawings being on a blue background. The exterior is flowers in a geometric design in blue, orange, cream, and green on a tan background.
