Description

Subject Matter:

This photograph takes as its subject the bridge of Conway Castle in Wales, a medieval fortress dotted with turrets, as seen from just outside the entry point to the bridge. The structure is framed so that the entrance door is at the lower left hand corner of the photograph and recedes towards the upper right corner, visually enacting the process of moving over the moat and into the castle complex itself.

Physical Description:

View of the bridge of a castle leading over a moat.
