Description

Subject Matter:

This photograph of the backs of several buildings on the rue de Valence in Paris is photographed from below, such that the façades loom towards the viewer. The scene is tightly framed so that only a few glimpses of the sky are visible in the crevices between rooftops at the top of the image. In front of the open garage, a car and several motorcycles are visible, but with no riders in sight.

Physical Description:

Courtyard behind a group of buildings with a car and several motorcycles parked in front.
