Subject Matter:
This photograph depicits a mountainous slope populated by tall trees. The thin vertical lines of the trees' bodies create a cascading motion, which lends a fluid, draping quality to the landscape. The lightness of the autumn foilage against the shrouded ground behind causes the leaves to shimmer and glow, and speaks to the scintillating dawn light raking across the tops of the mountain's trees.
