Subject Matter:

This photograph is one of many images Joseph Jachna made in Door County, Wisconsin. Jachna often photographed landscapes in the Midwest. He manipulated straight-forward views of the landscape by using mirrors, different lenses, and his body parts long before the introduction of digital photography and Photoshop.
