Description

Subject Matter:

Prampolini worked in several different art forms including sculpture, choreography, set design, and architecture. "Figures in Motion" appears to combine his varied interests across the arts in the Futurist style. Prampolini was a member of the Futurist art collective and most of his pieces engage with concepts of movement. This print was part of the fourth portfolio published by the Bauhaus School titled, New European Graphics, Portfolio IV: Italian and Russian Artists. 

Physical Description:

An abstract composition of irregular geometric shapes stacked on top of one another, with black and white vertical stripes overlaying the figure.
