Description

Subject Matter:

This photo was created from below a long drying fish-drying rack. The rack appears to be rudimentarily made; forked logs support the long beams stretched across, upon which hundreds of small fish are skewered on metal spikes and laid evenly across the wood. The upwards viewpoint of the camera emphasizes the long size of the structure and the multitudes of fish drying in the sun. From below, the silhouetted repetition of the fish causes the drying rack to resemble a view from underneath a railroad bridge. Above the fish, a luminous cloudy sky stretches overhead.
