Description

Ceramic garden stools first came into fashion in China in the early Tang dynasty (618–907), and each successive period has contributed new designs and techniques to this favorite and most practical piece of furniture. This pair of stools is decorated with motifs of birds and flowers of the four seasons, in a reserve white against a deep cobalt blue.
