Description

Subject Matter:

Figurative gold-weight in the shape of a kneeling human with the hands at the side of the head, wearing a form of headgear. This figure may be male, as human figure gold-weights more often represent men than women (cf. Sheales, African Goldweights, 2014). It is not known what this gold-weight represents.  

Physical Description:

Goldweight in the shape of a human figure, kneeling with buttocks on the heels and the hands at the side of the head, wearing elaborate headgear. Evidence of calcification.
