Description

Subject Matter:

Taken as part of Evans's 1935-1936 project documenting Antebellum architecture, this photograph depicts the main mansion of the Greenwood Plantation in Louisiana. Vines climb up the columns on the porch. The white paint on the frieze has cracked and the underlayer blackened.
