Description

Subject Matter:

Lombard spent his summers on Monhegan Island in Maine, where he maintained a small studio. The island is known for being home to an artist colony since the mid-nineteenth century. This print features the rocky, granite boulder coastline of Whitehead Island, near where the artist sojourned and home to the Whitehead lighthouse.
