Description

Subject Matter:

Sikunnshino maru motifs often include pine, plum blossoms, wisteria, and bamboo.

Chirimen refers to the unique wrinkled texture, also called crepe texture, created by a specific weaving technique. This texture is often used with traditional Japanese fabrics, often silk, wool, or synthetic fiber.

Michiyuki is a type of garment that is similar to haori but is a specialized coat that is only worn outdoors. Michiyuki typically have square necklines and buttoned fronts.

Physical Description:

Black silk michiyuki with dark grey interwoven water and wave (mizunami) motifs with a light gray silk lining with interwoven shikunnshino maru (floral motifs arranged in a circular shape) motif patterning.
