Description

Subject Matter:

This print was included as an illustration in Paul Eluard's homage to Picasso in 1945, entitled À Pablo Picasso (ÉLUARD, Paul [1895-1952]. A Pablo Picasso. Genève et Paris: Édition des Trois Collines, 1945). Eluard, a poet, and Picasso formed a close friendship and collaborated on a number of works together. This illustration is characteristic of the many portraits of women that Picasso created over his prolific career.

Physical Description:

This etching is a line drawing of a girl's face, filling the entire frame. The girl has curly hair. There is a border drawn around her face.
