Description

Subject Matter:

The figure is dressed in an elaborate red and blue robe with a headdress, and seems to be a scholar or god. He holds a scroll with four characters that translates to "heavenly God bestowing happiness and good fortune." This kind of print would be hung up in a household so that the gods can bring happiness and good fortune to a family.
