Description

Subject Matter:

After the Second World War, Arp created a number of works in two- and three-dimensions of this theme: the "idol." Their biomorphic design is reminiscent of his earlier works and their investigation of form and volume. With the portfolio title of "Everyday Magic," this work can be seen as part of his ongoing interest in Dada and Surrealist ideas of the primordial and the intangible.

Physical Description:

A black and white woodcut print of a black key-like shape with an off-white marking at the top.
