Written at the bottom of the print are the words "Interior View of the Principal Excavated Temple at the Island of Elephanta James Forbes 1774" The Image shows four figures walking through a temple. Figures are dressed in yellow and red and wearing white hats. Pillars of the temple are prominent in the scene.
