Description

Subject Matter:

This round jar from the Hoi An Wreck depicts flowers encircling the mid-section, and the neck section is decorated with lotus petals. The four handles could allow ropes or strings to be tied so that users could hold them easily for carrying wine or tea.

Physical Description:

A vase with a globular body on a short but with footing with a wide rim. On the sholders of the vase are four handels. Decorated on the vase are plant designs, surround the rim are layers of flower petals.
