Description

Subject Matter:

This photograph was taken during a period in which Greenfield photographed subjects in Los Angeles, many during Bat and Bar Mitzvahs. Addressing themes of loss of innocence at a young age, the series became known as "Fast Forward: Growing Up in the Shadow of Hollywood," or more frequently, "Fast Foward." Greenfield focuses on the influence of money, Hollywood, and popular culture on young subjects, usually young women.
