Description

Subject Matter:

In this album, Zheng Xie's calligraphy and Li Shan's paintings complement one another in their exploration on the beauty of nature. Zheng transcribes the poetry of scholar Su Shi, while Li Shan paints images of plum blossoms, bamboo, and plantains-- ultimately creating a harmonious and immersive work.

Album of eight leaves (four of calligraphy; four of
botanical ink painting). The album is accompanied by a white brocade cover with black leaf shapes and delicate blue and pink flowers, and a wooden box.
