Description
Subject Matter:
This blue-and-white box demonstrates an elegant landscape design on the lid. A boat is drifting on the river toward a building erected on the shore. In distance, mountain ranges and trees suggest the depth of the space. In the foreground, trees and leaves gently move in wind. The box is likely to have been container for cosmetic products.
Physical Description:
A blue and white container that does not flare towards the rim with a flat lid. There is a band of line designs around the bowl and a mountain landscape on the top of the lid.
