Description

Subject Matter:

The Buddhist monk is wearing robes that can be found reflected in the monk's clothing of today. A heavy set of robes, the inner layer is a black or dark blue robe with an outer layer of yellow/orange cloth. 

Physical Description:

The hanging scroll fragment depicts a portrait of a Buddhist monk. The man is bald, wearing heavy robes of orange and blue. The man looks off to the left of the painting with his body oriented in that direction as well. His hands are folded in front of him and are hidden in his robes. He sits in a background of a brown-yellow color.
