Subject Matter:

Similar to other nude studies Moore created at this time, this work shows the artist's growing interest in monumental forms and his experimentation with abstraction – note the sitter's face represented in multiple, simultaneous planes.

A seated nude female figure in three-quarters view seated on a block.
