Description

Subject Matter:

Shigeo Fukuda created this poster on behalf of the Keio Department Store in Tokyo, Japan. The exhibition centered around Shigeo Fukuda's posters-- it took place in the department store's art gallery and lasted from May 23-28, 1975. The contrasting use of positive and negative space in the work's figures contribute to a visual illusion, a common feature of Fukuda's works.

Physical Description:

Black and white legs intersecting vertically, with men's legs extending upwards and women's legs extending downwards.
