Description

Subject Matter:

Shigeo Fukuda created this poster for the Ginza Ito-ya Gallery, a long-standing stationery store in Tokyo, Japan. The exhibition, which focused on Fukuda's posters, ran from April 1 to April 13, 1987. The simplistic, overlapping lines and partially hidden colorful figures create a visual illusion—a signature element of Fukuda's work.

Physical Description:

A red figure and blue figure stand amidst a rising white block-like shape on a black background.
