Subject Matter:
Sleeping Nude depicts an unidentified woman resting in the nude. The artist, Frede Vidar was a member of the faculty at the University of Michigan from 1953 until his passing in 1967. Prior to teaching at the art school he worked as an art correspondent for Life Magazine and Fortune during World War II.
Physical Description:
This print shows the torso and head of a nude, sleeping woman resting her head in her left hand with her eyes closed. Her right arm is draped across her stomach.
