Description

Subject Matter:

More work inspired by his trip to the US in 1956, this is of a Spanish mission in New Mexico. Saito Kiyoshi again invokes religion in his work featuring crosses and the building itself.
The print is not geometric like some of his other works but displays simple coloration and shapes.

Physical Description:

This print depicts a Spanish mission in New Mexico. On the right is a figure. Both the ground and sky are textured. There is a signature on the bottom left on the wall of the Spanish mission.
