Description

This figure may be a portrait of patriarch of abbot. It is composed of several pieces of wood which have been separately carved, joined, and painted. Crystal eyes were inserted from the back of the face. Originally, there were rich colors and cut gold leaf to represent the Indian style robe and the textile designs.
