Description

Subject Matter:

Stoppers of this type were placed in the top of a dried gourd used to hold magical medicines. The head, with its elaborately carved coiffure, complete the metaphor of the double gourd as a body. 

Physical Description:

A conical stopper, topped by an anthropomorphic representation of a female head with elaborate coiffure.
