Description

Subject Matter:

This print is one of many prints inspired by his trip to Mexico in 1956.
Religion appears in this artist's work occasionally. We see references to Buddhism in some of his Japanese prints and this print appears to put the Christian church as the focal point.

Physical Description:

This print depicts a city scene with an individual standing in front of a Christian church. On the right is a small dog. The woman wears bright blue and orange/red while looking toward the holy building. The cross on top is slightly lopsided to the left. The ground is white and there is a signature on the bottom right.
