Description

Subject Matter:

The teapot is decorated with crysanthemum flowers and garden rocks, with flying insects added to the bustling scene. The handle of the teapot was added later perhaps after the item was damaged. The maker of the handle had little knowledge of the normal practice of Chinese porcelains. Chinese teapots usually bear a side handle with a small opening opposite to the sprout.

Physical Description:

A blue and white globular teapot on a large footing with a domed. The handle is tall surrounds the top of the teapot.
