Description

Subject Matter:

This print is part of a portfolio, The New York Collection for Stockholm: 30 Artists, which was a portfolio composed of seventeen screenprints, nine lithographs, two lithographs with screenprint, one photocopy, and one photograph. The portfolio was coordinated by Experiments in Art and Technology (E.A.T.) which was an organization founded in 1966 that facilitated the collaboration between artists and engineers. The purpose of The New York Collection for Stockholm: 30 Artists was to raise money for E.A.T. to support artists. Pontus Hulten, director of Moderna Museet in Stockholm, chose the artists to be included in the collection; they were artists active in New York during the 1960s.
