Description

Subject Matter:

Photographed right above the surface of a body of water, this photograph displays a view of a forest scene. Dividing the composition in half is the edge of the water's surface. The upper portion of the photograph is occupied by tree foliage and black tree branches, which spread diagonally across the frame. The lower portion depicts the reflection of this foliage on the pool's blurred and undulating surface. This compositional division emphasizes the threshold between the aqueous world below and the towering canopy above.

This photograph depicts a view from a low perspective of a forest with its reflections in a body of water below.
