Description

Subject Matter:

Created by a prominent American abstract sculptor, this drawing is likely a study after one of his sculptures. Lipton's abstract sculpture often was meant to convey the complexities of the human psyche.

Physical Description:

This drawing on paper shows an abstract sculptural object on a rectangular base. The object has a ring-shaped element that surrounds the lower left portion of the elements of structure. In the background there is a simple horizon line. The artist signed and dated the work on this line in black crayon (c.r.) "Lipton 75".
